Base ENSEMBLE
Ages 9–14 · Prerequisite: Completion of Foundations Ensemble and one year of private lessons (or Music Director approval)
Base Ensemble is the next level up from Foundations Ensemble—a full-band performance program for intermediate students with some group experience who are ready to push their musicianship further.
At this stage, students dive deeper into the power of playing music in a group. They refine ensemble precision, explore song arrangement, and build stage presence, all while learning how to listen, adapt, and elevate their sound alongside others. Playing in a band sharpens timing, strengthens musical intuition, and makes the whole experience more dynamic and inspiring.
Each week includes a full-band rehearsal and a private lesson to reinforce core skills and support personal growth. Students will prepare for a final performance at a public venue, gaining real-world experience and the confidence that comes from playing live.
