For Young Musicians Ready to Perform

Ensemble Camp is the perfect opportunity for budding musicians with at least one year of experience to take their skills to the next level. Campers will join a band, rehearse songs, and prepare for a performance at the end of the week. This camp is designed to develop essential collaboration skills while having fun in a supportive group environment.

What to Expect

  1. Collaborate in a band setting to learn and rehearse songs.

  2. Explore performance techniques like dynamics, stage presence, and teamwork.

  3. Gain confidence using gear like amps, microphones, and other band equipment.

  4. Learn about the importance of listening and giving constructive feedback to bandmates.

  5. End the week with a live performance for friends and family!

This camp provides an exciting opportunity for young musicians to experience the thrill of being in a band while building skills they can take into future performances.

Schedule & Logistics

Time: 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM (Drop-off between 9:30-9:45 AM, activities begin at 9:45).
Each day is packed with engaging activities that ensure a dynamic and well-rounded camp experience.

A Sample Day at Ensemble Camp

9:00-9:30am - Drop-off & Warm-Up: Campers settle in by exploring their instruments and jamming freely in small groups.

9:30-10:15am - Morning Meeting & Introductions: Campers introduce themselves, share their favorite songs, and discuss the roles they want to play in the band.

10:15-11:00am - Repertoire Exploration: Listen to and discuss a selection of songs (classic rock, blues, and pop) to decide on the camp’s setlist.

11:00-11:45am - Sectionals: Campers split into instrument groups (guitar, drums, keys, vocals) to review parts and begin learning the basics of their assigned songs.

11:45 am-12:15pm - Lunch Break: Campers enjoy lunch while listening to iconic live performances and discussing stage presence.

12:15-1:15pm - Full Band Rehearsal: The band comes together to rehearse their first song, focusing on timing, dynamics, and communication.

1:15-2:00pm - Gear Workshop: Campers learn how to operate amps, microphones, and other equipment, including proper setup and teardown techniques.

2:00-2:30pm - Break & Free Play: Campers take a break to reset with musical games or outdoor activities.

2:30-3:00pm - Daily Wrap-Up: Reflect on the day’s progress, share feedback with bandmates, and set goals for the next rehearsal.
