Unleash your child’s creativity in our Creative Composition Camp, designed for young songwriters and budding producers. This immersive camp takes students through the entire songwriting and recording process, from crafting lyrics and melodies to producing a professionally mixed and mastered album. Campers will collaborate, learn essential recording techniques, and see their music brought to life in a real studio environment.
What to Expect
Write and arrange songs as a group, exploring lyric writing, chord progressions, and song structure.
Learn how to use professional recording software like Logic Pro and Ableton.
Experiment with microphones and recording setups to capture their sound.
Gain hands-on experience with music production techniques and theories.
Gain an understanding of what it means to mix and master a song.
End the week with a professionally mixed and mastered album, released on all major streaming platforms!

Schedule & Logistics
Time: 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM (Drop-off between 9:30-9:45 AM, activities begin at 9:45).
Each day is packed with engaging activities that ensure a dynamic and well-rounded camp experience.
A Sample Day at Creative Composition Camp
9:00-9:30am - Drop-Off & Warm-Up: Campers settle in with free play at keyboards or instruments and start brainstorming song ideas on a whiteboard.
9:30-10:15am - Morning Meeting & Critical Listening: Group discussion on favorite songs, analyzing classic recordings, and identifying key elements like melody, lyrics, and production style.
10:15-11:00am - Lyric Writing Workshop: Campers brainstorm song themes, write verses and choruses, and receive group feedback to refine their ideas.
11:00-11:45am - Building Chord Progressions: Introduction to creating chord progressions on piano or guitar, experimenting with sounds that match their lyrical themes.
11:45-12:15pm - Lunch Break: Enjoy lunch while listening to iconic songs and discussing how they came to life.
12:15-1:00pm - Melody Creation Session: Campers work on crafting melodies to fit their chord progressions and lyrics, experimenting with instruments or vocals.
1:00-2:00pm - Collaboration & Songwriting: Campers partner up or work in small groups to combine their ideas into cohesive songs, with guidance from instructors.
2:00-2:30pm - Break & Free Play: Campers relax with musical games or enjoy free play on instruments.
2:30-3:00pm - Daily Wrap-Up: Group discussion on progress, sharing what campers worked on, and setting goals for the next day.
